I’m an engineer by trade, an endurance athlete by habit, a fractional marketer by happenstance, and a photographer by passion.
Photography is my way of slowing things down and holding onto the moments that matter, whether it’s a candid laugh at a family session, a senior stepping into their next chapter, or the quiet focus before a race begins. My goal is always the same: capture what’s real and make it timeless.
My Approach
I’ve believe that everyone deserves the spotlight, whether it’s the volleyball court, the track, or the football field, the work and dedication are the same, and I love telling those stories through my lens.
My favorite images come from the in-between moments, the unplanned laughs, the quick glances, the pure expressions - especially when working with families and kids. Outside of sports, I travel often and never pass up the chance to capture the energy of a street scene or the quiet beauty of a landscape.

WHO EVEN AM I?
I'm Robert "Bobby" Jones. I was born in Knoxville, grew up in Ooltewah, and graduated from Silverdale Baptist, where I regularly shoot on Sundays as well as for the student ministry. I have two boys, work in engineering and marketing, and I'm an endurance athlete. I regularly run marathons, Ironmans, and ultras, and I help other people get to those finish lines too.
Whats So Cool About FEMALE SPORTS?
Imagine you have two daughters. One wants to be a doctor, the other a social worker. If you pour all your love and energy into the future doctor because she'll make more money, what are you teaching both of them? That their value is tied to their earning potential.
Youth sports can send the same message. If all the attention goes to football and basketball (no knock on those sports), and softball, volleyball, soccer, and other girls' sports get little to none, kids learn that some athletes matter less because there's less business in it. That's not true. These athletes work just as hard, and often harder.
So I use photography and video to make them look as awesome as they are, to lift them up and encourage them, and to use my platform to draw more attention to what they're doing. They deserve just as much fanfare as everyone else. If I do that, my job is done.
DO YOU DO INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS?
Yes! I regularly shoot: Couples, Families, Prom, Seniors, Smaller weddings and elopements, Surprise engagements (I never charge for these, and I LOVE them)
WHY ARE INDIVIDUAL SPORTS PHOTOS FREE?
The athletes are the ones who make the photo look cool, so why not? If something as simple as a photo can brighten someone's day or lift them up, that's my payment. That said, individual sessions would be nice, so keep me in mind. 😄
